Introducing Compass, the Cloud Cartographer AI Assistant
Compass is a built-in chat agent powered by Claude that helps you design, review, and troubleshoot your data integrations - without leaving the platform.
What it can do:
- Answer questions about your connections, projects, jobs, stages, and mappings
- Build and edit projects, jobs, mappings, schedules, and email notifications - every change is presented for your approval first
- Test jobs iteratively with safe Preview-mode runs and analyze the results and run log (nothing is written to your destination)
- Suggest field mappings and transformation logic grounded in your actual data schemas
- Write and explain SQL, C#, VBScript, JavaScript, and Python transformation scripts - including project global scripts
- View and manage cross-reference (Xref) lists
- Search the web for connector documentation and error explanations
Access Compass at any time using the AI icon in the top toolbar.
🔒 Built with Safety in Mind
- All data-related commands are gated through a secure MCP (Model Context Protocol) server the AI never has direct database access.
- Your origin and destination business data is never modified by the AI - data lookups are read-only, and Preview-mode test runs execute with all destination writes blocked by the engine.
- Any proposed changes to projects, jobs, mappings, schedules, Xref lists, or other configuration are presented as an explicit plan for your review and approval before anything is executed.

Please do not enter personally identifiable information (PII), confidential customer information, passwords, account numbers, or other sensitive data into the AI chat.
Information entered into the AI chat may be logged and processed by a large language model.
Review your organization's AI usage policy before proceeding.
